The Sharks gave us about 10 minutes with Goalie Nabokov in the afternoon to shoot a potential cover for The Wave Magazine. Although I got some good shots, we didn't end up using Nabby for the cover. That night we came back to the HP Pavilion [Shark Tank]for a pre-season Shark-on-Shark scrimmage game. The best part was going up into the rafters and shooting straight down to get a unique perspective. That's where I ended up getting the cover shot.
My buddy/coworkers Johnny Brafford and Mario Salice also helped out, taking turns manning the cameras. Hockey is really challenging to shoot - low light + fast moving subjects that are hard to focus on.
